This is the first time I ordered dried plums and siu mai. Because I also like to eat all kinds of food with salted egg yolk, I also ordered dried rice and salted egg yolk siu mai. I personally tested that both are delicious! 😀Picture 2 is the frozen state of the goods received, and Picture 3 is the state of three steamed salted egg yolk and dried plums and siu mai. The dried plums and siu mai with a lot of glutinous rice leaking out are dried plums and siu mai. Picture 4 is a close-up of the whole siu mai! The close-up is mainly to let everyone see that there are dried plums (tiny brown rice dumplings) in the filling of the whole siu mai. Dried plums and glutinous rice are mixed together. The taste is very rich and very fragrant when eating. It has a peppery taste but it doesn’t feel as strong as the salted egg yolk siu mai. Maybe it’s the aroma of the dried plums that suppresses it. I put the siu mai at room temperature for about thirty minutes before steaming it in the pot. Cover the steamer with steamer paper. 5-7 minutes after the water boils, poke it with chopsticks. Turn off the heat when it is soft. The siu mai must be eaten while hot. The glutinous rice will become hard when it cools down, and the taste will be much worse! Those who like pickled mustard greens can try it. The delicious siu mai is recommended to everyone! 😀
