Taiwan Golden Barramundi Essence(10 packets per box)

Description

Using the traditional method of refining with fresh whole fish, the protein of the golden barramundi is extracted into peptides and amino acids in small molecular form, which are easily absorbed by the human body. With high concentration and value for money, each packet contains 7.7 grams of protein. From one pound of whole golden barramundi fish, only two packets of golden barramundi essence can be produced. It has a fresh and sweet taste, no fishy odor, sticky mouthfeel, and is rich in collagen. It contains only barramundi, with no alcohol, no Chinese herbs, and no spices. Recognized by the National Environmental Education Award, the fish are certified by the traceability system, and the single aquaculture farm received acknowledgment from the government. The manufacturing facility is qualified with HACCP and ISO22000 certification. It was also awarded the Sea Banquet Boutique Award in 2020 and the Silver Hair-Friendly Food Award by the Council of Agriculture in 2021.

About the Qiu Brothers The Qiu Brothers have been aquaculturists in Budai Town, Chiayi County, for over 50 years. Since 2001, when most organic stores in Taiwan sold fish caught from the sea, we have been committed to toxin-free aquaculture. Currently, the aquaculture responsibilities are managed by brothers Qiu Jing-yao and Qiu Jian-cheng, who oversee the breeding of fish and shrimp, all of which are self-produced and sold. Starting from a 3-hectare eel farming business exporting to Japan established by our predecessors, we now lease approximately 38 hectares for aquaculture. We are dedicated to producing affordable, environmentally friendly, and toxin-free aquatic ingredients.

We employ a medium to low-density ecological co-cultivation method, mainly breeding economic species such as barramundi and white shrimp. Other species include grass carp, tilapia, black porgy, mackerel, small yellow croaker, and grouper (selection of companion species depends on the availability of fry each year).

The entire breeding process is free from chemical drugs, antibiotics, and growth hormones. Even the grass growing around the fish ponds is manually removed without herbicides to ensure no pollution. When fish and shrimp fall ill, we resort to methods like stopping feeding, increasing water changes, and adding new water to improve conditions. If these methods fail, we bid farewell to the fish and shrimp. Ecological farming restores food to its natural state, and consumer trust is the driving force behind the Qiu Brothers' persistence.

Ecological Aquaculture Ponds are created as ecosystems, with barramundi and white shrimp as the primary species. We introduce herbivorous fish to consume the pond's vegetation, mullet to eat algae, small fish to consume leftover feed, and groupers to prey on inactive fish and shrimp. Thai prawns are raised in freshwater reservoirs, while golden barramundi are raised in saltwater reservoirs, creating a complete ecosystem for healthy pond circulation.

Planned Production The quantity of fish and shrimp bred each year is pre-planned to only rear what can be sold within a year, avoiding excessive production and wastage of Earth's resources.

No Herbicides Used The grass growing around the pond is consumed by grass-eating fish, while grass on the shore is manually removed to ensure no herbicide pollution in the pond.

Safety Inspection Before shipping each year, the products undergo inspection by SGS or government-approved testing units. Only after passing inspection are they released for sale. The farm has been certified as an excellent aquaculture facility by the Fisheries Agency and has traceability certification. The processing plant is CAS, ISO, and has traceability certification.
