Tianma Village Old Tree Green Tangerine + 2009 Gongting Ripe Pu-erh
Half-Baked, Half-Sun-Dried Craftsmanship
Crafted in 2018, this tea blends fine-grade Gongting Ripe Pu-erh from Bulang Mountain with the freshly harvested peels of old-tree green tangerines from Tianma Village, a core region of Xinhui. The tea is carefully filled and processed using a half-baked, half-sun-dried method, allowing for both preservation and natural transformation.
The result is a cup that is sweet, mellow, and richly fragrant, with the citrus aroma deeply infused into the tea. The old-tree tangerine peel contributes to a fuller body and deeper complexity—its natural oils and dense inner content enhance the aging potential. Over time, both the tea and peel mature into a more rounded and harmonious brew.
Compared to younger material, the aged Gongting Pu-erh delivers a smoother, silkier mouthfeel with a subtle sweetness and thick, comforting texture. The tangerine peel from Tianma, known for its low bitterness and refined aroma, complements the tea beautifully. The sun-dried finish brings out layered citrus notes during aging, offering a deeper, more nuanced fragrance than fully kiln-dried versions.
Smooth yet full-bodied — a perfect balance of fruit and tea, depth and drinkability.
