Description

-Qizi cake tea, also known as round tea, is a traditional famous tea produced by Menghai Tea Factory in Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, and it is also a pressed tea. It processes and compresses the tea leaves into a round cake tea with a beautiful appearance resembling a full moon, and then packs every 7 pieces of cake tea into a tube, hence the name "Qizi cake tea". It uses Pu'er loose tea as raw material, and is made through processes such as screening, sorting, high-temperature disinfection, and autoclaving. The finished Qizibing tea has strict specifications and standards: 21 cm in diameter, slightly convex at the top, 2 cm thick in the center, 1 cm thinner at the edge, flat bottom and a small depression in the center. Each cake weighs 357 grams. After being packed in white tissue paper, every 7 pieces are packed into a tube with bamboo shoot leaves. It is antique and suitable for carrying and long-term storage. Export tea cakes are also packaged in simple and elegant cartons, one piece per box. In the past, Qizi cake tea was often used as a gift for weddings and gifts for relatives and friends in ethnic areas. Qizi means many children, many grandchildren, wealth and honor, implying festive reunion and auspiciousness.
