Origin & Process

This Silver Needle is from "the hometown of white tea"--Diantou Town, Fuding, Fujian Province. The town is the birthplace and core production area of Fuding White Tea and thus known as "the first town of white tea in China", where there are beautiful mountain scenery and belt-like jasper tea gardens. It is selected from the national standard Dabai/Dahao teas, which are the best varieties in China and named "Huacha No. 1" and "Huacha No. 2" respectively by national authorities, and made of the first plucking tea leaves with pure buds in a round and straight shape, being the top "First-Pick Silver Needle".

This tea is processed properly, slightly fermented and charcoal-roasted with fruitwood to keep the water content below 6%, which contributes to the rich taste and flavor development, and the subsequent storage.
