Pungcheon Freshwater Eel Bokbunja (Black Raspberry) Sauce Grilled Eel 1 pack 

Vacuum-sealed (around 150g), all trimmed with no bones. 

Pungcheon Freshwater eel is Jeollabuk-do’s popular specialty seafood dish.  The word “Pungcheon”, meaning wind and river, is given because where seawater and freshwater meet is the most ideal habitat for eel as the area usually drives wind to land. Pungcheon eels are known for their nutritional benefits and their taste. 

Grilled with far-infrared rays,  the black raspberry sauce brings out the best flavor in the eel. All-natural locally sourced ingredients are simmered for 5 hours and patented vinegar methods are used to remove unwanted fishy scents, perfecting the sauces.  Eels are prepared in an HACCP certified facility where cleanliness is their #1 priority.


 

How to Cook

Frying pan: Take the defrosted eel out of the package, cut into bite-size pieces, mix with the enclosed sauce and small amount of water, and grill on low heat.

Oven: Take the defrosted eel out of the package, cut into bite-size pieces, spread the enclosed sauce, and bake for about 3 minutes.

Microwave: Take the defrosted eel out of the package, cut into bite-size pieces, spread the enclosed sauce, and warm it up for about 3 minutes.
