Bought one for 3.99, which is a steal for trimmed belt fish.
Look like a lot of weight, hope to be delicious

Very disappointed with my order. These are the tails of the belt fish. It’s my favorite fish but look at what was in the bag. If I’ve known that it’s all the tails then I would not have bought it. It’s been in my fridge since I bought it because no one wants to eat it because they’re more bones than meat.
Very cheap but slightly fishy and too many bones.

AMAZING! 80 cals a piece and 20 grams of protein per cut. If you’re on a cleam cut program this is literally something you can live off!
Well cleaned with no head or tail, About 5 inch each cut, good size to serve on table.

Frozen Beltfish, very convenient. However, need to clean the guts of the beltfish.
The guts were still intact, but only on the three bigger pieces. It wasn’t difficult to clean though. This fish was double wrapped in two separate plastic bags, but the juices still somehow seeped through to my refrigerator. I seasoned the fish with salt and pepper and stuffed a few pieces of ginger and scallions into the fish. I then skewered and sprayed oil onto the fish and grilled them. The fish was meaty, but dry. It was in desperate need of some lemon juice. Maybe steaming them would have been better…?
I fried it. It tasted very delicious. My husband and I like it very much! Before I fried it, I had to cut open some section of abdomen to clean the blood clots under the membrane. I did that for other kind of fish to reduce the fish small. Then I dried it with kitchen paper towels. Spread salt and pepper on fish. I fried one side of fish first for 2-3 mins in medium heat. Add cooking wine cover for 3 mins.
Turn off the heat. Wait until you can easily flip them. Flip and repeat for the other side. Isn't that the picture of my fried belt fish looks beautiful?
