Traditionally served as part of the New Year’s Day meal of osechi ryori, nimame consisted of beans gently simmered in soy sauce and sugar. However, this unique regional variation is made using peanuts. Meant to cleanse the palate, these peanuts are lightly sweetened and have a clean and delightful flavor.
