Waited for the banana to ripen to make matamis (sweet) sliced bananas with brown sugar and water. Cooked for 10 minutes and voila 🥳. Scooped the sliced bananas with syrupy sugar into a bowl and added ice cubes and milk. So good for merienda 🥳..
They were fresh and came at the perfect ripeness to be cooked. I stewed these in a mustard sauce with some mackerel. Tasted amazing!
About 3 pcs to a lb.
The banana came still green so I waited for about a week to make Turon.
They look great! Might take a while to be fully ripe, but it’s going to be worth the wait! I’d rather have these than over ripe ones.

Used it to make bánh tét. Good leaves, no tear at all.
