It gets 2 stars since the tea leaves were still good to use. The instructions are in Vietnamese only which im cool with. However, must warn others… these tapioca pearls were unacceptable… absolutely terribleeee. Im sorry…
i was very careful with them because i could tell by the discoloration (dark brown to a light brown from one end of the bag to the other…)and texture from inside its packaging that it was gonna be fragile.
I gently put a big handful in a cup and poured boiling hot water over top of it and i let it sit a bit just to observe it out. Came back and it looked like cornstarch consistency when combined with water. All the powder had sank to the bottom. Ended up looking like goo and i threw it out.
I tried to put some into a pot of boiling water i had going but before i could even get it out the bag it crumbled into powder.
I wasnt taking chances. I didnt use the milk powder it came with because it smelled funny.
Used my own combination of whole milk, heavy cream, and condense milk with the brewed tea leaves and it was good. So 1/3 of contents were OK. Best to buy the tea leaves separate if that’s the case.
