I’ve been using the 7oz Aara cumin seeds (jeera) lately and the quality is honestly really good. The seeds smell fresh and aromatic as soon as you open the packet, and they add such a rich flavor to curries, rice, dals, and even roasted vegetables. I like lightly roasting them in oil for tadka because it brings out that warm, earthy flavor even more. The seeds look clean, fresh, and not overly dry, which makes a big difference in taste. It’s definitely worth the price because the quality is great and the 7oz pack lasts a long time, especially if you cook regularly. A little goes a long way, so it’s a really good pantry staple to keep on hand.
