The carbonation is much weaker than cola, but since it's in a can, the carbonation doesn't go away during shipping, so I think it's been that way from the beginning. It's been a long time since I last drank canned Calipis Soda in Japan, so I don't remember it clearly. I don't think the export version has weaker carbonation. Personally, I prefer it a little stronger. But it's easier to drink if it's a little weaker.
