- It had an artificial smell, like cheap crab crackers, and was not tasty at all. There was no hint of miso either. It was a far cry from the taste of crab hotpot you get in Japan. I added kelp stock, sake, miso, soy sauce, and even a lot of scallops as a stock, and it finally became edible.

- I like to use Daiso hot pot base for soup. I used the Crab Daishi and Miso base to make a fish ball soup. It is a very flavorful soup starter to make a quick and easy soup.
