The wasabi and soy sauce expired last year, but since I was only going to mix the wasabi in the soy sauce anyway, I just mixed them together, but it was so bitter... I thought I couldn't eat it anymore, so I threw it away and put my own soy sauce and wasabi in and it was delicious.

However, the fish head felt hard, like it contained sand, unlike the soft texture of the lotus root fish. Perhaps I cooked it incorrectly.
