This bamboo shoot has a sour smell, which my children have always disliked. The other brand of tender bamboo shoots does not have this smell.
The taste was different from what I expected, it was quite oily...
Love the thickness of these bamboo shoots. It’s just right. I’m sure it tastes great as it is, but I actually remove the seasonings and make them into menma—one of the important toppings for ramen!
