I tried eating this just straight out of the can to see what it would taste like. I was hoping it would be as good as the Ligo sardines I grew up eating but this lacked flavor. The natural ink taste was fine but it was all a bit bland. I think this would be better incorporated into a stew or an add on in a dish rather than just by itself.

Good enough if you're craving tuyo and don't want to cook because of the smell. It's not salty at all. I know it's gourmet but it somewhat lacks that "tuyo" flavor. I enjoyed it more when I added a little bit of either fish sauce or bagoong.
