I used half to make a single serving of rice bowl, and there was a bit too much fish—I think one purchase would be enough for up to three servings. I liked it so much that I think I will buy it again next time.

My first purchase resulted in a delightful surprise: a plate of tender and sweet salmon sashimi and a plate of steamed salmon! The big foodie enjoyed the salmon sashimi, which I thawed in the refrigerator for three hours before cooking—slicing it and serving it with soy sauce, vinegar, and wasabi ˶>ᗜ<˶ The little foodie enjoyed the steamed salmon, which I steamed for 5.5 minutes after boiling water, then let it cool slightly before eating with rice noodles. It was a huge chunk weighing 940g! I partially thawed it enough to cut through with a knife, cut it in half, and froze the rest. It had no unpleasant smell and tasted delicious.
It's very large. I had it as sashimi with ponzu sauce. It was very tasty and fresh, not fishy at all.
Albacore Tuna was amazing! I made Korean style chirashi with spicy gochujang sauce. One of the best quality sashimi I ever tasted. It just melted in my mouth. so delicious!

First, I made sashimi. The meat was good, but there was too much connective tissue. I removed the connective tissue and made sushi directly.
It's chewy and delicious! I've tried other tuna brands, but those were a bit gritty, whereas this one is chewy. However, if it's thawed too much, it can be slightly fishy, so if you are sensitive to fishy tastes, you might not like it.

I bought this for my husband, who loves fatty tuna (otoro), as a Father's Day gift. It arrived partially thawed. There were a few sinews, but I'm grateful to be able to buy this much fatty tuna at this price. I think it's perfectly fine for enjoying sushi at home while living abroad.
