This Deep Onion Uttapam was delivered today. I tried the 1 minute 20 second microwave format suggested for soft uttapam as I prefer. The uttapams tasted awesome, full of chopped onions and garnishedbwith cilantro. The box came with 4 uttapams and two pouches of tomato chutney. The chutney added flavor to the uttapams.
Looks good, came well packed but haven’t tried it yet. Should be good by the looks

I usually buy and keep in stock MTR Instant Uttappam mix only and prepare the batter whenever I want to make the Uttappams. 3 months back I ordered this Shri Uttappam mix readymade batter just to try, but it was out of stock and I received the refund only instead of the batter. This time I wanted to try again and ordered. I had to buy 3 as minimum required purchase as it was on a good sale. I’m glad that they had it in stock this time. I made the Uttappam last evening for dinner and it came out good. Very happy about this purchase.

I baked it in a pan and I liked the texture of the dough. The onions on it were chopped finely. I dipped it in the gravy I made myself, without using chutney.

Yummy! Lots of veggies, very nice flavor & quality, substantial. Goes great w any curry. As delicious as Deep’s uttapams- also their onion flavor are very good. The texture is like a pancake, maybe a little thicker but very soft. For some reason I thought it would be more like dosa but this is still very good! Great breakfast food too.
