Based on reviews, this is my first purchase. The quantity is quite large; it can be divided into 3-4 packs for multiple servings.
Even this is frozen but when you thawed it, it so fresh, I love it.
Yes, it's anchovy - the kind I need to buy. This fish can be cooked in tomato soup, or fried with flour and eggs = perfect with rice.
I had a craving for whitebait, so I bought some. I found about 1kg of it frozen, so I boiled it once to make it into boiled whitebait, then divided it into small portions and froze it. When I boiled it, I found two hairs and what appeared to be fish bones. As other reviewers have said, there were some impurities like twigs, but the hair was a surprise. My hair is red, but this hair looked black no matter how you looked at it, so it wasn't mine. Just for reference.
There were a few impurities (things like branches, see the second photo), but I think it was good value for money. I made it into boiled whitebait and froze it.
