Is there a difference between instant and homemade dashi stock?
While instant dashi stock is convenient, homemade dashi stock typically has a fresher and more complex flavor. It's also free from preservatives and additives often found in instant varieties.
Can I use expired dashi stock?
For food safety reasons, it's recommended not to use expired dashi stock. Always check the expiration date if you're using a commercially bought variant.
