I bought this because I was running low on my usual Hontsuyu sauce. It's the same Kikkoman product, but I'm not sure if the packaging has just changed or if it's a different Hontsuyu sauce. I like the regular Hontsuyu sauce, so I hope it's the same flavor.

Pretty good for udon broth. I would add 1.5 table spoon of this and a little bit of sesame oil and black pepper into a pot of water . :)

good for the price when you don’t feel like making tsuyu at home! it has a delicious refreshing flavor that goes well with cold noodles. it is not too salty which gives you a bit more freedom to tweak the flavor to your liking. you can also use it as dipping broth for somen, soba, and diluted is delicious with tempura. for 3.99, it’s a price that can’t be beat! cold noodles are delicious this time of year
