There were six tail pieces. I grilled half with salt and boiled the other half. There was no fishy smell and they were delicious. The scales were also nicely removed. If the ones closer to the head had been included, I'd give it 5 stars.
Marinated in miso-mirin-sake-sugar for 3 days and broiled Nobu restaurant style, this black cod is amazing! (I only wish the filets were thicker from this supplier). Tender and delicious!
Six pieces in total. Air fry after thawing. Sprinkle your own seasoning.

I bought it to make braised cod, and it looks good and there's a lot of it.
It contained four fillets and a thin piece that looked like a tail.
I had it before and it was tasted a little bit 腥。 I’ll give it another try

Perfect size of each one
When buying fish with only Japanese labels, sometimes you get something different from what you expected, but this is "silver cod" and there is no mistake. The head, innards, and tail fin have been removed, but it is chopped with the bones still attached. Four pieces came, one of which is quite close to the head and has little meat, but this can't be helped since it is sold by weight. I cut it all in half, put two pieces in each small ziplock bag for snacks, filled it with a mixture of miso, mirin, and sake, and froze it. I defrost it and grill it as needed. It's a hassle because it has bones, but I'll grill it in Saikyo style for now. It doesn't taste bad.
There were four beautiful fillets inside. I'm going to make it into a Saikyo-yaki.
