Good and fresh.
There was a lot in it!
The Japanese eggplants were a bit disappointing. The biggest and most beautiful ones were soft at the bottom 5cm. The rest were thin and the brown skinned parts were tough. One was going to be used as an offering for Obon, so I'll cut the other one open and, if the inside is OK, I'll eat it grilled and marinated. Next time I'll buy a regular eggplant.
A long eggplant instead of the typical short Japanese eggplant?

I just received the eggplant, it's not fresh at all. Buying vegetables on Weee is like picking blind boxes. Some are fresh and some are not. And they are very small. I hope the quality will improve. I really won't dare to buy them in the future.
