Rice cakes themselves don't have much flavor, so you can eat them like in Japan, with savory rice or soy sauce. My kids and I dipped them in condensed milk, which was also quite good. However, in terms of texture, pan-frying them in oil might be better.

So sad! the first time I ordered these, I was very impressed. they were plump and filled with stuffing. however, the second time they arrived like a shriveled up, sad version of the original...hardly any stuffing and the rice had an odd, uncooked texture...not sure if I want to risk repurchasing.
