Dongwan Anchovy Broth Cubes are a very convenient way to make anchovy broth for soups and stews. They are individually wrapped, so they stick to each other. I use it when making Kimchi Jjigae.

Anchovy broth is truly versatile for all kinds of dishes! It is highly useful in everything from banquet noodles to soybean paste stew.
It's perfect for making broth again. I'll try using it for stews and noodles as well.
Gone are the days when our moms would clean, sauté & simmer dried anchovies, kelp, bonito, radish, green onions, onions, garlic etc just to make a base broth... now I just drop one of these tablets in any soup, stew, hotpot, noodles (ie. janchi gooksu), basically any dish as a starter for that umami. It has a clean, briny taste with bit of depth from anchovies/kelp and less of bonito. There are 30 tabs in the container; usually 1-2 tabs are sufficient for a family portion dish. Compared to other similar products, it doesn't have additives such as disodium derivative flavor enhancers, corn syrup, yeast extract. It does have shellfish extract in case of allergens/sensitivities.
I received it well. I will enjoy the meal.
