Century eggs, also known as preserved eggs, are a Chinese egg-based culinary dish made by preserving duck, chiken, or quail eggs in a mixture of clay, ash, salt, quicklime, and rice hulls for several weeks to several months, depending on the method of processing.
The egg body is dark green like jade with obvious pine needle crystalline pattern, with a slight alkali taste and long fragrance. The taste is fresh and smooth, and the aroma is rich.
Ingredients: Fresh duck eggs, sodium hydroxide, water, tea leaves
Storage: Keep in a cool and dry place, avoid direct sunlight.
