If you want to eat cheaper pineapple cakes in Taiwan, Xindongyang would be one of the choices. Although they are not as delicious as Jiade’s pineapple cakes, at least the price is enough for me to buy them often.

The Chia Te products I bought on Weee at the end of 2025 were nearing their expiration date. Because I like Chia Te, I gave Weee another chance to buy their pineapple cakes. This time, I received the goods on January 17, 2026, with an expiration date of January 23, 2026. A week's shelf life is finally better than only three days or even expired products!

I bought it again, it's as delicious as ever. It's a pity it expires on January 23rd. I saw it's 40% off on Wee, so I might consider buying some for myself or storing it in the fridge.
