Out of five stars, give it four stars. The puff pastry is too buttery, the pineapple is sour to the bite, and the whole is soft and slightly sweet. Unexpectedly amazing. I like Isabella a little more.

Love these pineapple cakes by Sunny Hills. We specifically chosen this because the pineapple filling was pure pineapples, no other fruit. Filling was a little tangy and had the texture of fresh shredded pineapples. The dough was buttery and solid. Reminded us a lot of Pineapple Tarts from Singapore and Malaysia, Nastar from Indonesia.
The pure pineapple filling has no artificial flavorings, and the outer crust has a subtle milky aroma. It's truly delicious!
The expiration date is great; I bought it during a promotion.
I got it on 1/24/26 and these pineapple cake is expired on 2/1/26. Very short expiration date
