This persimmon is a disaster. It takes very long to ripen. It takes three weeks to ripen to the softness that can be eaten. And it still tastes astringent after eating. You still need to buy persimmons from Costco. They soften very quickly and are not astringent at all.

You have to freeze it repeatedly in the refrigerator and take it out again until the skin shrinks around it before you can eat it. This process takes a long time
The hard ones came like this. There were some that were slightly blemished, but they were okay to eat. My daughter and I checked them every day by pressing them, and after about a week, a fingerprint was left. I ate one after 10 days. It was really sweet, seedless, and delicious.
