Sierra Honey plums are usually picked when they are fully ripe, so they are a deep purple-red color that is delicious but not durable. However, this year, the farm picked them early, which gave them a greenish skin, in order to give our precious fans an early taste of the delicacy. But remember this little secret: These plums will get even sweeter if you let them sit for a few more days. If you are looking for a more mature taste, you may wish to wait two weeks before placing an order to taste them so that they receive more sunlight on the tree. Good stuff, worth the wait!
