I grew up eating melonpan in Japan. It's not a perfect recreation of melonpan but worth trying if you are craving melonpan.

Spread over bread & toast for 5 min on air fryer. Yummy but quite expensive for a small container.

It’s not pine apple flavor. There is pastry mimic cantaloupe called “Melon pan” in Japan. The paste is for making your own “Melon Pan”. It was okay. It didn’t taste like “Melon pan” to me but it was fun to make it.

I wasn’t expecting it to taste like melon given the fact that it is advertised as pineapple bun spread. I was expecting a flavorless spread (like the ones in Chinese bakeries). Nevertheless it’s good. Sugary, caramelizes up nicely in the toaster and gives a nice texture to bread.

Description

Turn your everyday toast into a pineapple bun in no time!
This is a spread that you apply to toast and bake to enjoy a crispy texture and the sweet, classic flavor of a pineapple bun.
For an authentic look, use chopsticks to press a crisscross pattern on the surface before baking — it’ll look just like a real pineapple bun!

The spread may harden if stored in the refrigerator or a cold place. Please let it return to a warm room temperature to soften before use.

The container cup will gradually be changed from a transparent type to a matte type.
